MGS Trade School Visits the 2023 DEAC Conference
DEAC accreditation is an essential aspect of quality assurance in the realm of higher education. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is a recognized accrediting agency that evaluates and accredits distance education programs and institutions. As a result, obtaining DEAC accreditation signifies that an institution or program has met rigorous standards of quality and has demonstrated its commitment to providing a high-quality education.
I recently had the opportunity to attend DEAC’s annual conference, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which provided an excellent opportunity to learn more about the organization’s accreditation process and the importance of accreditation in distance education. One of the key takeaways from the conference was the critical role that DEAC accreditation plays in ensuring that distance education programs meet high standards of quality and rigor. Accreditation helps to ensure that students receive an education that is on par with traditional, in-person programs.
Not only was the location of the conference an incredible one as seen in these photos, but also the lessons were just as incredible. From building a strong admissions team, to learning the ins and outs of how our internal software systems should operate, benefiting the students.
In addition, DEAC accreditation helps to ensure that students are receiving a valuable education that prepares them for their future careers. Accreditation requires institutions and programs to provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their chosen fields. This means that students can be confident that their education will be relevant to their future careers and will provide them with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful.
Overall, my visit to the DEAC annual conference highlighted the importance of accreditation at MGS Trade School. Our motto is to always keep our students first and making sure our school meets accreditation standards is just not another way to do that. Accreditation provides a level of quality assurance that is essential for ensuring that students receive a valuable education that prepares them for their future careers.
