Robert Miller, MGS Graduate
"...Having two giant binders with step-by-step instructions, exploded views, and interesting hacks at your fingertips is priceless..."
“I retired from a 32-year career in law enforcement in 2017. At 61 years of age, I felt there had to be more to life than just leisurely passing the time. I treated myself to a new S&W 686, and soon realized that the timing was a bit off.
Rather than sending it back for repairs, I watch a few videos and not only did I sort out the timing issue, I made the revolver operate like a Swiss clock. I guess the bug bit me pretty hard, and soon enough, I was looking for a proper education to learn all the aspects of gunsmithing.
Due to my location, a hands-on school was out of the question. After reviewing the online choices, I settled on Modern Gun School for a few reasons. The tuition was certainly reasonable enough, but it was the vast library of instructional information that clinched my decision.
The amount of information is something that no one can fully absorb; having two giant binders with step by step instructions, exploded views, and interesting hacks at your fingertips is priceless in my opinion.
The school operates very efficiently. Calls placed during business hours are always answered by a person, test scores are entered immediately after completing an exam, and the projects are fun and challenging and are graded the day they arrive at the school. I plan to start a business purchasing rusted old firearms, getting them back in firing condition, and selling them online for profit. Tools and machines will be bought as needed, and when I’m confident in my abilities, I will get my FFL and open a full service gunsmith shop.” Continue Reading >
