within 65 lessons and 7 hands-on projects, plus a BUILD!
Select one of four firearm platform builds and go through the construction process. Imagine combining your course knowledge with the inner workings of a firearm, plus receive an extensive tool kit to help jump-start your career in the firearms industry.

Based on state laws, MGS cannot enroll students in the Advanced Gunsmithing II program from the following states: Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington, and Washington DC.
Alpha Foxtrot 1911 Pistol
You must be 21 years of age to purchase a handgun in the US. Students under 21 are not allowed to select this build.
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, and DC have specific magazine capacity limits. It is the student’s responsibility to purchase a magazine legal according to their state’s laws. MGS urges students to check their laws because the capacity numbers change a lot in these states.
Students in Illinois are not allowed to select this build and must select the Muzzleloader.
LoneWolf Polymer G17 Pistol

Post 911 GI BIll®
The Post-9/11 GI Bill® offers educational financial support for veterans with at least 90 days of aggregate service on or after September 11, 2001, or that have been discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days.
Montgomery GI Bill®
The MGIB program provides up to 36 months of education benefits for veterans. Generally, benefits are payable for 10 years following your release from active duty. This program is also commonly known as Chapter 30.
VA Voc Rehab & Employment
Other than a dishonorable discharge, veterans with at least a 10% VA Recognized Service Connected Disability may be eligible for Vocational Rehabilitation benefits.

MEET HECTOR!
As a Retired Veteran and a Federal Firefighter with plans to retire in 8 years, I need to plan for a small part-time job to keep my hands busy. MGS Trade School’s Advanced Gunsmithing course will enable me to prep for my very own gunsmithing business.
I am not currently employed within the gunsmithing business, but I have always been a gun(s) enthusiast. This course allows me to retain the know-how and content well beyond the course itself. As a gunsmithing reference alone, it is worth the investment.

What are your admission requirements?
Modern Gun School offers open enrollment, allowing you to start at any time. Students must be 18 years or older and have a High School or General Equivalency Diploma to participate in our programs.

How will Modern Gun courses fit into my schedule?
That’s easy! The flexibility and freedom our courses provide allow you to complete lessons at your convenience, at your own pace, and from your own workbench.
When will I receive my build?
Students receive their build once all exams and projects 1-7 have been completed, in addition to their tuition requirements being satisfied. Students will be required to pass an FFL background check
How are course materials provided?
Modern Gun School is a traditional correspondence course of study where study materials are shipped to the student, we also provide a student account online where students may access the materials in PDF format and submit exams for instant grading.
Is MGS Accredited?
Modern Gun School is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission, Washington D.C. The Accrediting Commission of the Distance Education Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
Why are other online gunsmithing programs so expensive?
Great question! Hard to say, we’re not entirely sure. Learning gunsmithing shouldn’t break the bank.
