"As a Retired Veteran and a Federal Firefighter with plans to retire in 8 years, I need to plan for a small part-time job to keep my hands busy. MGS Trade School’s Advanced Gunsmithing program will enable me to prep for my very own gunsmithing business.
I am not currently employed within the gunsmithing business, but I have always been a gun enthusiast. This course allows me to retain the know-how and content well beyond the course itself. As a gunsmithing reference alone, it is worth the investment.
I learned a lot and am looking forward to continuing education with MGS. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable staff, and online student services all produced an outstanding job mixing theory, practical applications, and video demonstrations.
Great job MGS."
Hard to say; we’re not entirely sure. Learning gunsmithing shouldn’t break the bank. MGS Trade School courses stand out amongst similar training programs because of our hands-on projects and time-tested curriculum. We're proud to offer gunsmithing education at an affordable rate.
MGS Trade School offers open enrollment, allowing you to start at any time. Students must be 18 years or older and have a High School or General Equivalency Diploma to participate in our programs.

MGS students receive their tools and course materials in the mail, along with a printed Course Manual. We recommend that students keep their Course Manual at their workbench—it contains step-by-step instructions for each hands-on project.
Students also gain access to their program curriculum online, in their student account. Completed lessons are submitted here.
MGS programs are designed to offer flexibility and freedom to our students. You’ll complete your lessons and hands-on projects at your own pace, from your own workbench.

MGS Advanced Gunsmithing II students receive their final Build Project once all exams and projects 1-7 have been completed, in addition to their tuition requirements being satisfied. Students will be required to pass an FFL background check.
